Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

Some occasions call for nothing other than good old homemade chicken soup.

While most usually picture chicken noodle as sunshiny yellow, this soup can be customized to suit your taste. Any old mix and match will do, as long as it is made with love – that’s the main ingredient and it has no substitute. ♥

Here’s what I used today:

Start by melting the butter in a medium saucepan.

Having everything ready is important – this soup comes together quickly.

Once the butter is melted, add the onion and garlic so that they can saute and add some caramelized depth to the soup. Cut up the chicken and carrots – they go in the pan as soon as the onion gets golden. Next, water and souper starter join the ingredients in the pan. Now it is time to bring the mixture to a slow boil. Once the water is bubbling, toss in the pasta, wait for 9 minutes and then add the diced green pepper. In 3 more minutes, your soup is ready to enjoy!
